One of the best cities in the region, with a range of activities available. Picturesque villages surrounding it, a lot of beautiful beaches, and the highest mountain of the country for hiking lovers. What else could you ask for! Really impressed!

Platamonas is a little seaside town on the west coast of Greece and it is easy to get there by car from Athens as the toll road is in excellent condition. There are many restaurants and bars that one can choose to eat at and the beaches are well organized with umbrellas and sunbeds. One of the main reasons for our visit was that we wanted to climb up Mount Olympus and as Platamonas is only a half hour drive from Litochory (where most of the walks begin) it was the perfect place to visit for a few days.

Excellent for people who would like to enjoy the nightlife of Platamonas. If you are travelling with children or you prefer quiet holidays, you would better be vary careful where your hotel is located as it gets quite noisy in the evenings and until 06/07 AM in the mornig if you are located next to the main sea-side street.

Horrible beach experience, nice food, average pool.
Horrible beach experience, nice food, average pool. Not going 2nd time.
:-( Beach :( there are rules for "not reserving" spots at the beach but NObody pays attention, even the staff. When I complained you can't have a place at 10am because everything is "booked" by towels, rocks, kids toys and whatever you can imagine BUT there are no people! The answer was "what can we do!?!"
The hotel basically abandoned the beach so stupid and arrogant people are doing what ever they want. You pay for a beach and seaside experience BUT you don't have a chance to receive it unless you fight for it or go down to a level of stupidity like the rest. Places are booked with towels at the grass area, even at the pools... Crazy. One of the reasons I will never stay here aver again.
Huge disappointment.
Pool facilities for kids were one of the reasons to book BUT the area is so slippery that almost unusable. We just tried it 2-3 times and left after falling down constantly.
Half of the sprinklers were not working :( this is at the beginning of the season :( water was full of bugs, food stuff from the pool bar.
:-) Staff is friendly, hotel is old, probably from 80ties but maintained good and rooms and bathrooms are OK. Food is great, time slots perfect (lunch till 15:00 and dinner till 22:00). Facilities are OK, you have football, tennis court, indoor pool, fitness and Kids room that is opened up to 22:00. Bars and drinks are OK, ice-cream great.
Excellent boutique hotel run by Lia’s family. Extremely friendly stuff, super easy to communicate with them, they help in any kind of problem. The rooms are super clean and they look on the wonderful sea. Nice terrace, to relax. It’s useful that they have parking place! Absolutely a place to stay, very very recommended! New York the way their restaurant on the ground floor is also very good!
The sandy beach is right in front of the hotel! :)
Locals and beaches are very close, walking distance.
What is there not to like?! The apartment is so tastefully decorated! Clean, lots of space and a PERFECT location! The kitchen has all the tools and basic things needed to do lots of cooking. 30 second walk to the beach and close to shops and restaurants. The hosts are also SO KIND! Making sure everything was ok...even sending us home with some oregano :) Also, there is a HUGE balcony which is so nice to sit out on!
This is the BEST choice of an apartment in Platamonas! We will be back :)
Hotel is very nice oriented. From main road you reach: parking, tennis court, splash park, hotel building, big garden in natural shade with pool, kids playground and entertainment zone, mini bar than you reach beach at the end.
Food was very nice and every day different. Fruits was excellent.
Rooms are cleaned every day and also if you need towels can be changed in day basis.
Comfortable, quiet location that is a short walk to the center of town and to the beachside! The view from the hotel was beautiful and the location was very convenient for swimming (only 5 minutes away) and to the Platamon Castle (20 minute hike). The train tracks along the beach that can be found in front of the hotel are a perfect path for walking! Highly recommend
Very nice guy taking lovely care of the hotel and the guests. Cleaning room every day. Beautiful garden where breakfasts were served as well as food and drinks from the restaurant through the whole day. Nice location near the restaurants and the sea (walking distance to the beach in Platamonas as well as Nei Piroi beach).
The owners were just fantastic, very professional and very friendly. The restaurant is with exceptional view, the food-just brilliant! It has a private parking which is good. It has a private beach with 15-20 umbrella sets, which is nice and quiet. The location is 15" walk from Platamona where is busier.
We liked everything: the apartment, the cleaning, the breakfast. The receptionist helped us with all we needed. They also have a private parking. We visited the hotel off season but we enjoyed it so much!
The view from the room was Amazing.
The staff was really nice and Dimitri suggest us what to visit in Greece. We really appreciate già suggestion. We love Plelio and Tsagadara
Hotel is 1 min from the beach. It has also nice pool and bar/restaurant
