Cannot recommend Gion Kyoka enough. Actually, I'd prefer to give a negative review to prevent everyone from booking this lovely ryokan in the most amazing location in Gion Kyoto. Their team went above and beyond to make arrangements for our party at temples like Saiho-ji. Thank you Miyata-san and the rest of your staff for making our stay exceptional. I hope to visit again soon.

The tatami room is very spacious and clean and we had the whole 1F by ourselves. Amenities are very complete with washing machine, fridge, microwave and a small kitchen. Privacy is at its best. Location wise is great as nearby has a few bus stops which makes traveling easy. The host is extremely helpful and effective in terms of communication. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely be back should we visit Kyoto again
